Jackson Hewitt(R) Launches National 'Race In & Win' Game

Players Can Win a $50,000 Grand Prize, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Race Tickets and More

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jackson Hewitt Tax Service(R) (NYSE:JTX) , "The Tax Service of NASCAR," revs up for an exciting NASCAR season with the launch of its "Race In & Win" scratch-off promotion. Players have a chance to win over 1,000 prizes, including a $50,000 grand prize, VIP tickets to a 2007 NASCAR(R) NEXTEL Cup Series Race, gift certificates to the Richard Petty Driving Experience, large screen plasma televisions and more. The promotion is available now through April 29, 2006, while supplies of game cards last.

Over Six Million Game Pieces Distributed

Official Game Cards will be distributed to potential winners across the country though relationships with Jackson Hewitt promotional partners. Cintas, the largest uniform supplier in North America and a NASCAR partner, will insert "Race In & Win" game pieces into the pockets of over 500,000 uniforms. Home 123, the official mortgage company of NASCAR, will include approximately two million game pieces as targeted direct mail stuffers. Blockbuster Video, the leading retail video and DVD rental chain, will package the cards into over 750,000 new release DVD titles.

In addition, Daytona USA, the official attraction of NASCAR, will distribute a "Race In & Win" game piece with every admission ticket sold from January through April. Partnering with the International Speedway Corporation allows Jackson Hewitt to reach a large portion of the nearly 400,000 annual guests to Daytona USA, including spectators at high-profile events such as Jackson Hewitt Pre-Season Thunder, Speedweek and the Daytona 500. Game pieces can also be obtained by mail with no purchase necessary.

Every Player Gets a Discount on Tax Preparation Services

Consumers who receive the "Race In & Win" ticket can scratch off the game card section to reveal a code and visit their nearest Jackson Hewitt location to see what they've won. With each game card, players either win one of over 1,000 great prizes OR receive a 20% discount off a customizable NASCAR- licensed Jackson Hewitt item. Plus, every game piece provides a separate scratch-off area revealing a $10 discount coupon on Jackson Hewitt tax preparation services. Consumers have until April 29, 2006 to bring their game pieces to any Jackson Hewitt location nationwide to see if they have won a prize.

The Jackson Hewitt Race In & Win Game is open to legal residents of the U.S. (excluding PR) ages 18 or older as of January 2, 2006, except persons who on or after January 2, 2006 were or are employees of Jackson Hewitt, Inc.; National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc. ("NASCAR"); International Speedway Corporation; Speedway Motor Corporation; their respective affiliates and subsidiaries; the judging organization; and any individual/company involved in the development /execution of the Game, and game piece suppliers, and the immediate families (parent, child, sibling and spouse) and household members of each such employee are not eligible.
